DAY 01 / OCT 15 MANILA / MADRID
Depart Manila on board a prestigious airline on your way to Madrid, Spain. Enjoy in-flight meals and services.
DAY 02 / OCT 16 MADRID (-)
Welcome to Madrid! After airport formalities, meet and greet then transfer to your hotel for check-in.
DAY 03 / OCT 17 MADRID (B)
This morning, go on a half-day city sightseeing tour of this beautiful city and see the Puerta Del Sol, Gran Via, Cibeles Fountain, Alcala Gate, the Santiago Bernabeau Stadium, Plaza De Espana, Prado Museum, Almudena Cathedral, highlighted by a visit to the Royal Palace. The balance of the day is free for shopping.
DAY 04 / OCT 18 MADRID – AVILA – FATIMA (B) After breakfast, drive to Avila – completely encircled by 11th-century walls and birthplace of St. Theresa and visit the Convent of St. Theresa and the Cathedral. Continue cross border to Portugal, proceed to Fatima and check-in hotel.
DAY 05 / OCT 19 FATIMA – LISBON – FATIMA (B) Morning drive to the capital of Portugal, Lisbon – see the Tagus River, Marques de Pombal Square, Liberdade Avenue, pass by Belem Palace, the official residence of the President of Portugal. Stop at Bel- em Tower – an icon of the Age of Discovery, and the Monument of the Discoveries. Close by is Jeronimos Monastery, a magnificent example of the Manueline style. See the Baixa, Praca De Commercio, and the Suspension Bridge, and visit the Church of St. Antony De Padua. Return to Fatima for some free time for private devotion. You may explore the Sanctuary and the Great White Basilica and maybe join the can- delight procession in the evening.
DAY 06 / OCT 20 FATIMA – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA (B)
Drive to Santiago de Compostela – a World heritage city. Upon arrival, pro- ceed to guided city tour with visit to San- tiago de Compostela Cathedral. Orien- tation tour includes Plaza del Obra- doiro, Monasterio de San Martin Pinario, Convento de San Francisco, Fuente De Los Caballos, and the Pala cio de Raxoi. Check in to your hotel.
DAY 07 / OCT 21 SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA – BURGOS (B)
A long drive to Burgos, the provincial capital in Spain’s autonomous community of Castile and León. Its most recognizable landmark is the French Gothic Cathedral of St. Mary, whose 3 main doorways are flanked by ornamented bell towers. Inside is the Chapel of Condestable, decorated with figures of saints, and the Tomb of El Cid (Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar), the 11th-century military commander, then visit the Burgos Gothic Cathedral. Check in to your hotel.
DAY 08 / OCT 22 BURGOS – ZARAGOZA – LOURDES (B)
Drive to Lourdes with a stop in Zaragoza to visit the Shrine of the Basilica of Our Lady Of Pillar, considered the Patroness of the country and the Spanish Civil Guard. Afterward, cross the border of France on your way to Lourdes – a major pilgrimage site in Europe. Check-in to your hotel.
DAY 09 / OCT 23 LOURDES (B)
The day is free for private devotion. You may wish to go to the Sanctuary to visit the Underground Basilica, walk the Station of the Cross, take the Holy Bath, or participate in the Veneration of the Sick Pilgrim. Tonight, why not join the motive candlelight procession.
DAY 10 / OCT 24 LOURDES – BARCELONA (B) Return to Spain on your way to Barcelona. Check in to your hotel upon arrival.
DAY 11 / OCT 25 BARCELONA (B)
Morning guided a visit to the Montserrat Monastery to see the famous 12th-century Romanesque carving of Virgin Moreneta, the Black Virgin. Afterward, see the Plaza Espana, Plaza Real, Plaza Catalunya, Olympic Stadium, Christopher Columbus Monument, Arch of Triumph and photo stop at La Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Barcelona’s most famous landmark, and Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece.
DAY 12 / OCT 26 BARCELONA / MANILA (B)
